HARD TIMES/LOVE ACTION - Live at  the Brighton Dome - December 2003

This clip is taken from the "Live at the Dome" DVD and is included as it is a very good example of the experience of seeing the band live. The DVD was filmed at the last concert of the 2003 tour and has over 2.5 hours of the concert and additional footage of the band.

The evening opens to  "Hard Times" and the rolls straight into "Love Action" with Philip on stage in his 'Matrix' style coat. Listen for the audience applause as Susan and Joanne join him on stage for the first time.

As well as the idiosyncratic 'Cat Sound' of Love Action,  you get to hear  Susan's trademark 'Shrill' "Hard Times" intro (a bit unfair as the poor girl's voice is never warmed up at this point).

The Human League are a unique experience in concert , as absolutely every thing is live. Proven when things sometimes go wrong, which just adds to the atmosphere. And unlike some other high profile bands there are no dancers or other gimmicks on stage to distract from their performance.

The value for money of seeing the band live cannot be understated, but for those who cannot make one of their concerts the Live DVD on a widescreen plasma TV a very good substitute.
